ISO 14001
Over the past few years, Estaçofer has been monitoring and studying the environmental impacts that its activities can generate. It realized that in order to remain competitive in a market of global proportions, it should seek to implement its Environmental Management System and obtain ISO 14001 certification.
Estaçofer fully complies with all existing environmental standards in Brazil. However, it will seek ISO 14001 certification later this year to formalize the organization's commitment to environmental aspects in the world.
The main reasons that led the company to seek ISO 14001 certification were the need to develop the organization's EMS and the installation of new structures for production expansion plans, in addition to establishing a benchmark with the community and control bodies.
