It all started in the 70s, when Mr. Ademir Moura formed a partnership with his brother in Curitiba/PR, creating a trading company for mechanical steels and civil construction.

​

Ademir Moura, just over 20 years old, moved to Joinville/SC with the mission of implementing the company's first branch.   In the 1980s, taking advantage of their commercial, logistical and technical knowledge, they decided to invest in a steel mill in the city of Quatro Barras/PR, optimizing the construction steel distribution network already developed in previous years. They later sold the operation.

At the end of the 80's, more precisely in 1988, an area of ​​20,000 m2 was acquired in Araucária-PR, and the company Araucária Reciclagem de Metais was created .   This unit specializes in the trade and processing of scrap metal.

In the early 90's, Mr. Ademir Moura dissolved the partnership with his brother and decided to concentrate his efforts in the metallic scrap business, creating in 1995 the ESTAÇOFER COMÉRCIO DE AÇO E IRON.

​

With great persistence, the company develops, building long-lasting commercial relationships with foundries and steel mills throughout Brazil. In 2007 a commercial opportunity brought great experience, Estaçofer joined other important companies in Paraná and created VEB Gestão Ambiental SA, one of the largest companies in the sector in Brazil at the time, with a turnover of more than 25 thousand tons/month and 500 contributors.

In 2009 the partnership was dissolved and Estaçofer continued on its way.

      

In 2010 the company opens new markets and starts exporting scrap, serving clients in India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia, South Korea, among others...

           

In 2017, it starts studying a new organizational and management model for metal scrap yards, preparing itself to open branches and consequently expand its business.

           

In 2019, the Recife/PE unit is opened, confirming the management model and achieving the planned success.

           

End of 2020 starts its activities in Maringá/PR.

           

In the year 2021 the expansion project is still full of news!

           

Always working hard, with quality, ethics, honesty and customer focus, Estaçofer currently presents itself as a national reference in the management of metal scrap.
